I started todays post with a quote by one of the most legendary women of the 20th century - Coco Chanel as I am currently hard at work writing a book about her in RL. Seems this month has been a month full of fashion with the IFW 2010 running 4 shows per day for 4 days. There is every reason deem Faster Pussycat's show on Saturday 17.th a great successs - the Glance models did a beautiful job with the styling (of which I am rather picky) and the DJ worked my very spesific and ecclectic playlist perfectly. The result was great, the show really stood out and I would just like to take the opportunity to thank everyone at Glance, all the awsome bloggers who's featured our designs on their blogs and of course the enthusiastic public.

Here I've added a photo of myself outside our store at GIA's IFW 2010 sim - here I am proud and excited before the opening last week. Now all our new releases are available in Faster Pussycat's mainstore in Redux.

It brings me such joy to be able to bring you the Pose Fair news from one of SL's top pose and photographer's props creator - namely Chandra Meehan, and (*chanimations. I have loved her stuff for ages and even won several photo contests with them so naturally I was very curious to see what she has come up with the fair. I was not dissapointed. Chandra has created to awsome new multi functional props - "Exorcism" and "Source of Life", two full scene builds with many many functions, from throwing spells to binding your victims and releasing soap bubbles and fire (!!) Of course these will enable you to shoot some truly magican photos, but kept up in a sim the props can also very well functrion as a great RP set for you and your friends.

OK, "Exorcism" first. This set is structured in multiple layers, it can be used as a one-person-pose, couple pose set or if you have more magic followers at hand - let them join the outer circle of another 10 poses that surrounds the alter in a summoning. The rituals you can playe with these doesnt dare mentioning lol but your mind is the only limit.

As you can see I took the opportunity and chained my possessed friend lol and bound an additional sinner at the side of the altar while I wrestled with the nassy demons.

Then theres the lovely "Source of Life" set - a spring celebration.

One day til Pose Fair!

Yay it's only one day until Pose Fair opens and I thought I'd tempt you guys with some awsome poses from creators who will have vendors there. I have been bombarded with poses and it's really hard to choose which ones to blog first. But I thought Id start with some model poses from Amacci - as all models, aspiring models and any old posers needs'em. The new poses are beautifully animated and it makes me realize how much SL modelling has changed since I started walking the runways in 2006. Back then poses were all static and had that not so pretty broken-anckle-effect lol. The woman behind Amacci Carina Larsen is as old as me in SL - woot! - so I would imagine she remembers. Her new AO is called Posh, and thats how you feel when you wear it.

I remember a time when Hair Fair was the big event of the year, in fact many would argue that it still is apart from getting caught in a massive soup of lag. Last Hair Fair i had to cancel, not even flying around like a naked noob helped because not only was there hoards of people but nothing rezzed and if it did it was buildings made of allsorts and cupcakes, not the actual vendors! Cute idea, but unless you have a kickass pc like the Linden Labs you're in trouble. It was also quite unpleasant to hear idiots yell at people for their rendering cost. It is annoying that someone flies in with a scripted outfit and hair that could take out a SIM but be civil.

Anyways, so now we have had Skin Fair, Clothing Fair and Accessory Fair is still going on, it was only ehem fair? - that we should have a Pose Fair. Og btw - is there a shoe fair? It's the brainchild of Katey Coppola of Glitterati, and to fight the aforementioned lag they are going to keep the building minimalistic. To quote Evelyn Harsthon on their flickr: Quaduple yay for that!

I will most def be spending a bunch of my hard earned lindens here so I'll blog some of the poses with Faster Pussycats designs as I go along. Pose Fair will run from April 2nd until April 16th.

I just had to post this lovely photo of Mimmi Boa and Poptart Lilliehook on the Glance runway wearing Faster Pussycat's winter collection "A Winter Fairytale". Mimmi (left) is wearing Winter Vamp in turqouise and black sequins and fur, Poptart is wearing The Ice Princess in glacier white. I just love the styling and the poses, which goes to show why some models are so-called supermodels. Great work, Mimmi and Poptart!

Evane's Hearts for Haiti

Last month Mimmi Boa and Evane Models did this wonderful auction for helping the people of Haiti. Over 20 exclusive designs were auctioned off in the span of two days. Faster Pussycat's contribution you can see here:

As always I did try to have my own slightly edgy take on the "big ballgown" - so yet again, another punky outfit from me. I love the idea of creating something beautiful that will help do good in this world. So when asked if I would donate something for Evane's "Hearts for Haiti" event I custom designed my very own Help Haiti- gown. I like the fact that fashion cares, and even if I as one person feel very small I know that when we stand together, people are a force to be reckoned with - a power. So naturally I called the Haiti dress for the
"People Have the Power"-dress.
I see these gowns as a whole new take on power dressing - with our creativity we have the power to change some wrongs to rights - and the words I chose to print on the dress were inspired by an old song by Patti Smith.
I have loved creating this dress, it is is kinda punky and wild, with a bit of 80ties pop video thrown into the mix. The hearts in the tiara and the little collar symbolizes love and empathy. The big skirt symbolizes haute couture - as this dress is a one-off - and the stripey tights and top symbolises unity, strenght and hope. The top even has the words "HOPE" printed on the back.
Tops and bottoms are in all layers for easy wear and without the big skirt the catsuit can easily be worn under your fave denim miniskirt or booty shorts for a more casual look.
The idea of a full bodycatsuit is warm, cocooning comfort - just what every human being needs, but especially the little children of Haiti who are suffering twice as much as everybody else with the threat of human trafficking lurking in addition to the traumas of the disaster and loss already. God bless whomever bought my dress, you are helping save lives.

If you didn't get a chance to come to this auction don't panic - there's more comming up in the months to come. Glance International are having a Relay for Life show and so is Opium. And I think Faster Pussycat will contribute to both if I get enough time. I will post more details soon as I know. See you there!

Yes, that's what it's been. Even for a pixelated avatar the fall gets busy with lots of parties and coolass happenings. This fall started out with Glance's huge birthday celebration - our first year as an agency. Patty has kept us all busy and if anybody deserves an award this year it's her. Honestly. The Fall kickoff was an amazing 2 day show with so many designers and models attending it makes me dizzy just to talk about. Then - .:Naive designer Leah McCullogh had my dress ready (i will make it a special post) which I hade the honor of showing on the runway and on posters in her show. It was all for winning the .:Naive photo contest in August.
Then - more parties and awards. These photos are from Glance International's Photo Awards and from the Glance Magazine launch party. To top it all off i was chosen as Glance's Model of the Month in the premier issue of the magazine, and have been crazy busy after with shoots and shows and all the glitz and glam that comes with it. And to top it all off Paty made my dream come true this month, picking me as cover model on 2 fashion publications of October - plus giving me 10-12 spreads on the magazine. Patty - you have made this October so memorable I can sometimes not believe it's true lol

I officialy love October and everything spooky that comes with it - like Halloween! As usual this month has been crazy busy - among the many things we had the most awsome fashion runway show at Glance freaturing the designs of House of Rfyre and Sangre Noir plus the lovely Aimesi skins. Here is a capture from Sharron Schuman, I just love how this photo came out. The gown is from Sangre Noir and was a forties Film Noir kind of design, Herradure Baar had written the most amazing little blurbs about the vampire Sangre's 300 year old life story - for each and every outfit an original little story. And this smooth coctail dress with rose decorated sash and little bustle represents the years when the vampire Sangre was a vampy gothic pinup and worked in the New York underground as a nightclub performer during the 1940ties. I just love that story Herra lol. And Sharron - the snap is adorable!

Why I love hairbands

I am forever in love with glamrock and what seems to have sprung out of the original glam scene of the seventies – what my darling Coeur spitefully call hairbands. Why do I like this?Well...because they are cool of course, its all in the name of GREAT style sense - in a very poser “look at my crotch”- kinda way. Tight pants, loads of hair, add guitars, piles of scantily clad women, cheap booze, loud noize and life doesn't really get any better than that. Ok so I don't really have any better explanation for this fetish, because i know the overall visual is tacky and a bit comical like a rock’n’roll pastiche - New York Dolls always kinda looked like the drag version of Rolling Stones. Oh well....it's only rock'n'roll and I like it *shrugs*

I cant really get enough of it no matter how "outdated" scared little trend-midgets might call it - I have to have a regular fix of Hanoi Rocks, Stage Dolls or Europe.... just like your average a fat person overindulging on chocholate brownies.
Now, i would suggest that the worlds most famous hairband is Bon Jovi although their staying power might have proved that they reached far beyond the hairband era of the 80ties – a sensatuonal decade for everything big and excessive. I think my fave hairband bonanza would include a lineup of: Europe, TNT, Hanoi Rocks *faints*, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, Skid Row, Stage Dolls (amg *faints-faints-faints*), and guitarist Yngwie Malmsteen...Now Darkness tried it on a few years back and tho i loved their style the music kinda sucked. It was like hey, guys dont turn this into comedy, glam is serious shit.

If you’re thinking like “hellyeah, i wanna look like that!!!” keywords to get it right is:

BIG hair, preferably permed and with highlights

Very tight jeans, spandex or black denim

High heel pointy boots

Open shirts

Tattos

Eyeliner

Pilot mirror glasses.
Pile on with chunky belts and flowing scarves and twist your upper lip on occation. I have designed some outfits very much inspired by this look, my Faster Pussycat red and brown “Glam Rock”-outfit for instance has clear references to this very droolworthy and flamoyant style. Call me sick – but I do love rockers who looks like rockers, not office workers. Hail hail rock'n'roll - and pass the hairspray!

Nudity - still controversal?

I have just picked up a new photo competition challenge to read the words: "strictly NO nudity". Sighs. I guess there goes another contest I will not enter. Not because i cannot stick rules but because to me this has become a principle.Now in danger of comming across as an avid pornographer (hey – would that be so bad?) I really do wonder: what is this obsession with nudity in Second Life?As a photographer i'm sorry but I will not work with anyobody who set limits for what is actually photographed. I agree every contest should have rules, but i find it hard if the rules actually interfere in the artistic content.As a model i will most definately do nudity just as I see fit – and especially working with a good photographer or designer. I have modelled myself in RL, and the willingness to do nudity is never expected but always preferred, even if there are exceptions made for models who for some reason does not want to show lingerie or swimwear. They just don't work as much. But ask any TOP model - from Naomi Campbell til Kate Moss if they have ever posed naked and the answer is yes.As for the implications it is a moralistic issue: Perhaps it is because i was brought up in a part of the world where we have a very relaxed and liberated relationship with nudity, I have no problem with pornography and although the naked human body certainly does not belong everywhere, we do not really see anything morally wrong with it being on display in art, fashion and the likes.The naked body can be esthetic and pleasant and even without any hint of indecency or degradation (apart from in the head of the beholder) and this is why in art, the naked body is a prominent figure. These days it is also frequently present in cutting edge fashion photography, you can hardly open any European fashion magazine without seeing a naked female breast or tush in fashion spreads and beauty adverts. Even high fashion labels like YSL have chosen to promote one of their male fragrances with a gorgeous photo of a naked male model - full frontal - shot by the reknowned fashion photographer Solve Sundsbol. The advert appeared in many top glossies a couple of years back, and tho it was concidered slightly controversal Tom Ford had it down: what has fashion become if it can no longer be controversal? We're not talking suburbian girl scouts gatherings here remember - we're talking FASHION. Like...in cutting edge fashion....anyone??On the international runway a bare female breast hardly shocks anyone these days. I would like to see the faces of John Galliano or Donatella Versace if any professional model kicked up a stink over anything like that.This debate seems outdated. And still you do come across the occational heated discussions over Miley Cyrus showing her naked back for Annie Leibowitz cam or hear people go into hysterics over Janet's nipple slip. And not to mention – Michelle Obamas naked arms in a sleeveless dress!!!!!!!! OMG, i am laughing so much it hurts here. Have they no historic insights?? Didn’t the First Lady of all First Ladies – Jackie O – practically INVENT sleeveless fashion???
But in SL I have been on the runway with models who actually freaked at the sight of their own areolas. I have had designers ask me in an almost appologetic tone if i would mind showing a garment that is concidered "too revealing". I just do not get it - isn't it time to be more relaxed about this? All nudity is not nasty you know. Sometimes it can be both beautiful and innocent. Just a thought....

Me - a Second Styler!

I know it's weird to blog about blogging but I was recently asked by Celebrity Trollop to contribute to the Second Style Fashionista blog - which happens to be not just a fab blog but THE most influential SL fashion blog ever. I have been reading that blog since I started SL way back in august 2006 and ever since I earned my first lindens dancing Second Style has guided my shopping habits. It was Second Style that helped me find my first ever rockabilly retro hairstyle at Kin Keiko before rockabilly became the big thing in the SL fashion world. It was Second Style Magazine that inspired me to start taking photographs and taught me there was more to SL photography than lining a model up in an M30 studio against a premade background. And I used to skulk around Second Style magazines headquarters daily hoping to meet some of the awsomnesses that worked there, maybe hoping to catch a glimpse of La Editresse herself. Many months later I met Celebrity Trollop at runway shows where I was modelling and then when she became a model for Metro we even did catwalks together. Once we showed up at a Ewing fashion show in identical leopard print artilleri coats and black gothic hairstyles - which under normal circumstances would have been concidered a disaster. But instead of sneaking off to a discreet spot to quickly reattach outfits and hair Celeb came over, posed next to me and turned a classic fashion faux pas into something fun, something that even landed us in the AvaStar gossip pages.So you can imagine when she asked me the other day if I would help blog for Second Style Fashionistas I was incredibly flattered. Machinima, darlings! That's the name of the game right?
OK I fess up: I have been toying with the idea of being in movies for a while. So when the opportunity of taking my modelling portfolio one step further and making a small promotional flick to hand out to potential clients was presented to me I jumped at the chance. At WBA Advertising they have longtime experience with shooting machinima - they have been at it for over two years and they have also developed a unique system for streaming the movies in-world. After seeing samples of their work I just knew I had to have a bash at this. So boldly I signed up for a model portfolio shoot with director AWM Mars, met up in his studio and the result you can see here:

The actual shooting footage went smooth. All I really had to do was pick suitable poses, supply a photo to be used as a background in the movie and choose 4-5 outfits and style myself in ways that shows my diversity as a model, hop on the rotating disk in the studio and do my model thang! Completely painless and very efficient. When you sign with the WBA-guys they don’t just let your movie stream in-world, but for people outside Second Life they also stream your movie on their website!!

Ok this week I’ve copied the look of my ultimate style inspiration – the dutch singer Mariska Veres. Veres was the vocalist of a popgroup named Shocking Blue – a band who had several hits in the UK and rest of Europe in the early seventies. I have attached some You Tube links so you can check her out for yourselves – I swear to god i have never EVER seen anyone with higher wow-factor than her, male or female. Man, watching those clips I still wanna BE her!!

I was only a little kid when Mariska Veres was big, but she kinda made me want to grow up fast. I’m still willing to argue the point that she’s the most gorgeous woman who ever lived, and to me she will always be the ultimate sex symbol - even hotter than Jim Morrison!! Unfortunately she grew old, overweight and late in life she was reduced to do bad cover versions of other peoples material until last year she passed away.

But in the late sixties and early seventies there was noone who could touch her. Compared as she was to Grace Slick I’d say Shocking Blue could play Jefferson Airplane off any stage in their heyday and when Slicks voice was ok Mariska’s was divine. And of course it was her sex-kitten looks with those big painted eyes... My lifelong loveaffair with false eyelashes, nude frosty lipstick, big hair, and suede jackets with tassles are all homage to her. Just watching these old You Tube clips brings me to tears, “Send me a postcard”, “Never Marry a Rail Road man”, “Harley Davidson”, “Blossom Lady” and of course “Venus” – the song which Bananarama covered in the eighties. I loved Bananarama but I’m sorry – there’s noone who can do that song like Mariska Veres and Shocking Blue. NO ONE. Enough said.

Reharsals for ASpiRE's Chic Boutique Runway Show

Aspire did a kickass fashion show for Chic Boutique's lingerie and skins last weekend. The place was packed with people from the SL fashion business, models, stylists, magazine people - and ASpiRE's founder Bianca Darling (!!!) - that felt exceptionally good! Babyhoney Bailey did some remarakble styling and set building. There were models popping up of tables and posing on moving Martini glasses - the result reminding me of a swanky 60ties bachelor pad, thogh Babyhoney said she had had more Britney poledancing in mind when she created it lol. Anyways, the finished result was a whole lot better than in these photos - you may check them out on the ASpiRE's fashion blog. But I took som snaps of me and some of the other models from one of the many rehersals - as I just love behind the scenes pics, they are so funny. Hope you enjoy them too!

So last week, day before the 16th of August - whom all knows is a sad sad day - we dressed up as Elvis and Pricilla and went to Graceland lol. It felt kinda weird but definately good to pose in front of the famous gates or give the King a private show in the Jungle room...and wow don't you just love Coeur's sideburns? That look always makes me go weak in the knees.

July 23'rd my friend and model mate Summer Deadlight - supermodel and sexiest kitty DJ - celebrated her B-day. Yea - the fact that she'll be 25 forever.
The theme was masquerade wear - fairie, woodland spirts, elves, horse heads, centaur bodies, Oberons, Pans, anything fairytale like. Frolic Mills had decorated the square in SL Boulevard to look like the perfect stage for all movers and shakers to come out and play. I am basically a solitary shopper. But if I'm just browsing I find the shopping experience so more interesting if I'm dragging a guy along - and it can be any guy - Coeur or just a mate - because the pattern is always the same: I focus on the merchandise and they focus on.....well the merchandise too. But not the same merchandise. Guys tend to focus on the stuff that's not for sale.

"Ignition" - Metro Models Opening Party

Alaska Mtropolitan, founder of Metro Models have expanded the agency, added a bunch of new hot faces and opened the agencys offices and runway in a spanking new sim. To celebrate the opening Metro Models threw i gig opening party yesterday, sunday 29th of June. On the runway models Serenity, Celebrity, Valerie and Gamp strutted their stuff in the funky designs of one of SL's most celebrated designers, miss Callie Cline. MC/DJ wasDJ Summerkat and hostess Nemi McCoy. Myself an Eclair were hired in as firespinners and as I am a girl from the circus I adored that job - it really catered to my burlesque side (yea, i adore "Carnivale" and everything carny lol).
The afterparty was spectacular, with - yes movers and shakers hehehe, i love that phrase - loads of prizes and ended with spectacular firework displays.

Not so much of a mover, more of a shaker: me at the Ignition"-show after party.

Mirage - like a vision in the desert it a gorgeous club with all the treats guests loved about Arsheba - plus a few new twists. The club is due to open the 7th of july. Last Night at Arsheba!

Yes, sad but true - Club Arsheba, the last of the big gentleman's clubs in SL has closed down. It was a shock to all of us that the owners Ten Book, Cindy Fukai and Mischa Zhukovsky chose to close the doors only days before the club's 2'd years birthday. But realizing the motive it was understandable - the owners refused to change the concept of being a club for people of flesh and blood to a twilight zone of camper zombies and bots to score high in search.
But in true Arsheba spirits we went out with a bang - and the biggest kickass event for all our treasured VIPs.

I can't help but thinking dating problems sometimes stems from one out of four things:
1, you are too choosy
2, you are too good looking and noone dares to chat you up.
3, you are pretty average but think you are god's gift to man- or womankind and not afraid to say so.
4, you're a looser or a prick or both - not so often true as some people might think.

My friend Frederic comes in category 2: he is just to damn good looking. Here's a typical epidsode that happened after work at Arsheba sometime last week.
The huge black offroader comes to an abrupt stop at the traffic lights and the idiot driver honks his horn like a madman. I jump a mile high as I think I'm only inches away from being run over by some sadistic prick who no doubt see it as his calling to scare the living daylights out of well dressed girls with immaculate grooming (like me - I'm in my glamgirl-skin, and Mimrikri from head to toe apart from my shoes which are hot pink platform Stiletto Moodies- the real deal).
- Heeey baby how are you!!
Fredric bolts out of the car (yes - he is one of those nutters who actually bothers with a car in Second Life!!) as if he has a rocket up his perfect ass. I peer at him from behind my venom green sunglasses (Paper Couture) - Jackie O-style of course - and let's myself be dazzled by his pearly whites. Fredric is such a kid. But his smile never fails to melt me at least to some degree.
- Mah gawd baby how are you!!! You look fab!! Love the hair!!!
In spite the fact Fredric looks as hunky as they come he is a screaming fag: shaved head, slim figure clad in low slung skintight denims and tired leather jacket(both by Savvy Avvy) . With the expensive spray tan (Minnu Model) og black wraparound Sean John shades (FNKY), he reminds me of a young Tom Ford or some rich dude right out of rehab. Or, knowing Fredric - it's probably just some new detox cure he's on. This is a guy who spells groming with a capital G. In the passenger seat of his monstrosity of a car is draped a blond with a trendy side parting (Naughty Designs) and mirror pilot glasses (FNKY). He's in leather also (Muism). And a white T (no idea). That's all I can see. I have like no idea if he's gay too. He looks straight to me (wishful thinking).
Fredric tells me he'll be offline as he's off to New York for a few days with one of his clients - his RL business is going quite well and he's accumulated a few high brow clients who take him places - and that we must have lunch when he comes back and should he get me something from Saks or Neiman Marcus.
- We must have drinks *kissy-kissy* and those Marc Jacobs shoes??? Ooo beautiful you must see them. I'll buy them for you.
I lean close to his ear and whispers:
- Who's the blond?
Oh I'm sorry - this is Tommy, Fredric smiles. He's John's new assistant.
Tommy smiles.
- Hey there.
I look at Fredric.
- Hms, lucky John?
I stare at Fredric and mouths silently:
- He's your new boyfriend right?
- No, nothing like that. Im still single. Noone wants me.
Fredric pouts. He nudges me as a young guy, not a day older than 25 walks by.

Fredric pouts more. I assure him it's coz he's too much and point at him.
- You, are not gay enough. Or, you are too good looking. It's always the problem. Really good looking people never gets chatted up. People are afraid of them. You know that.
Fredric smiles. This is working.

- I know so.
- So, how come all the hot guys are taken?
Ok, he got me there. But i guess there is a place on earth somewhere where good looking people goes to chat up other good looking people. We just do not know where it is. I tell Fredric he looks like Tom Ford. he lights up like I've never ever seen any man be so happy to be told that he looks like the worlds most famous gay texan.
But i think it is true. Really good looking people tends to be left alone, at dances, in clubs whatever. I guess there's some fairness in this world.

I recently saw a clip from the new Dylan-movie "I'm not there"
(http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0368794/) where Cate Blanchett plays Bob Dylan - i was so impressed by the way the great Blanchett managed to look like Dylan - yea it sounds like utter nonsense but it's actually true, Blanchett is pure Dylan from his "Blonde On Blonde"-period - and so i thought: well, i have so many idols. And, unlike my friends who have all wanted to shag their stars i didn't - i wanted to BE my idols. So, now i will do a weekly makeover where I'll try to style myself into one of my many icons. It's going to be a real challenge as most of my idols are actually guys (I can't wait to do Meat Loaf lol).
I thought I'd start with something a lil easier tho: In these photos Coeur and I pose as the ultimate rockstar-couple: Pamela Anderson and Tommy Lee. It just dawned on me one day looking at C's tats how much he reminded me of the Motley Crüe drummer. And then I found this red Baywatch swimsuit and the rest was easy peasy.

Now - why would I want to do a Pammy-tribute? Well every generastion has its bombshell and we have Pammy. I loved her in "Baywatch" but it was "Barb Wire" that really turned me into a Pammy-fan. After the opening sequence of that movie where Pammy is playing with water in a wet T-shirt i knew two things: Pam was a goddesss. And i wanted to be a stripper.

And...i got my wish. Like Pam i wanted to be a bimbo with brains and I've never looked back. Pam is a selfmade woman and i don't care if she has implants enough to sink a battleship - she's hot shit.

- is it two bitches fighting til death over a two-timing dog or is it simply speaking up for yourself?
DRAMA. It is probably the most over-used and misinterpreted word in all of Second Life. You see it plastered all over peoples profiles saying they want no part of it. And club owners declaring their hideously decorated hangouts as DRAMA-FREE zones. I mean - just the decor is sometimes enough to make this avatar want to throw a wobbly, let alone scream the place down.I have friends who's spouses are cheating or bosses exploiting their unpaid staff and discriminating spesific genders and when I ask why they do not confront the issues they tell me that they don't want any drama. Now, that is puzzling. And it got me thinking, what exactly is drama? Isn't life itself dramatic?A disturbing amount of people define drama like this: "I want to walk all over you, have sex with your man, steal what you got and if you say anything I will label you a drama-queeen." Or " she's a two-faced liar but I won't tell him because I don't want any drama." Or "well she is after all just a sweet little girl, i can't make myself smack her one".
Now, since when was being a doormat ever concidered cool?
If you remove all drama from your life and stop fighting for the people or things you love and care about - I would say you're either dead or on prozac. And if staying mute when you should speak up is what drama-free is all about- well then I'm outta here. I will certainly not allow a phobia to make me conflict shy or stop me caring enough to yell when needed. In fact, i might go and change my profile right now, stating under my interests and all the other lovely things I've written about myself:And by the way - I like drama. A lot.

Another series i took are called "Horror Home" - they were inspired by old cult movies - the kind of suspense thrillers where bored houswives go mad, murder the milkman, the postman and the landlord and keeps their corpses in her bathtub lol. Like Catherine Deneuve in Roman Polanski's "Repulsion".

Thought I'd make a tribute to the wonderful designer Neferia Abel's new spring line of pretty 40ties and 50ties dresses. The lovely suits and ensembles can be found in her store Ivalde and all bear Norwegian names. I had so much fun shooting this series of pictures and felt just like a film noir heroine - very feminine and alluring, sultry and sexy yet utterly stylish. Accessories are hair from Gala, seamed stockings from Preen and jewellry from Indyra's Originals.

In the top pic I'm wearing hair and clothes from Antionia Marat's artilleri and the next two a cute two piece sailor's costume from Tres Beau's awsome retro designs and the hair is from Gala. As i love retro styles, i'm planning more shoots like this and perhaps also a song and dance act to perform on stage.

Ok, it's soon time for the much talked about IVillage Fashion Extravagaza, which is being held Mon Feb 5, 2007 at 6pm SL. This is a VERY big show held on a new sim and stage and it will even be streamed LIVE on TV!!!

So -to pracise for this show Bianca and Trina recently tp'd us to the stage where we'll catwalk hot new designes from Callie Cline, Simone and Paper Couture. I get to model designes by Ava Lu of Paper Couture and I'm soo excited - pics of the outfits and makeup/hair supplied for me are at the top. Like Ava Lu said to me: I'm saturated by spring!!

Here's also a snap we took after rehersals, with all girls sitting...well sortof pretty lol. Afterwards Kirsten Corleone and I went shopping for a really nassy dance move - a true bootay shaker, dresses as sexy as possible and went clubbing at Bad Girls. Giggle.

Ok, Digit Darkes is a genious. Short and sweet. Here's the outfits i modelled at her last fashion show - which was held on the Aspire-stage on the 20th of Jan - the show was so well styled - all the girls wore hair designed by Digit's sister and very dark gothic makeup. Every outfits def must-haves. So after the show i did what a girl had to do: went to Digit's shop - and cleaned it out! Yowza!

The Winter Bliss Fashion Show featuring the designes of C Wiccan Sojourner of Bewitched, caLLie cLine and Nicky Ree was my third show in 2006 - we modelled some very festive costumes along with partydresses and sexy city chic outfits. In addition to all this Bianca asked me to model a supercool dress from Bewitched for a photo in ASpiRE! Magazine and you can see it in the latest edition of the mag.
The ASpiRE! mag itself is comming along so well and I think both the editors and all contributors are doing a wonderful job. To top off such a busy and successfull season i got the fab news that I have been chosen to appear in this months runway show for 3XD. Am i thrilled? You bet!

The Neferia Abel Runway Show

Next runway show i did was for a personal friend, the Norwegian designer Neferia Abel. Neferia's shop is at the fabulos Bryggen - a mini Bergen in-world and i strongly recomennd you take a closer look on what she's got to offer. At the fashion show i got to wear several luxurious outfits - rauncy separates, pretty-as-a-picture-dresses with the most exquisite flexi work and opulent ballgowns. Some of my favourites is the giraffe pattern dress, and the gemstone mini cavewoman dress that I have on here.

Looking back on the last months of 2006 i feel almost in awe at how things are going. Since signing up with ASpiRE! modelling agency I have had the pleasure to work with so many talented and generous people.
First , there was the Adored runway show featuring the awsome designs of Amysue Shirakawa. One of the outfits I was wearing is the funky ensemble pictured here, concisting of a white short sleeve shirt and gray pants with belt and black high heeled boots. I love Amysues's take on easy-to-wear fashion with garments that are funky yet formal enough to wear either you're off to work, a club or a rock concert.

Halloween came and went - really way too fast. Coz I really love Halloween - to dress up in my most tarty goth wear, my blood red lipstick, white skin and strut my stuff in tribute to all those horror hotties of the silver screen. So Vampira, Vampirella and Elvira I salute you! Here's a belated photo from one of my Transilvanian October Nights. I hosted several fantastic parties - some of the best for Kitten's Club - at the beach with movie quizzes and Monster Mashy music and managed to bring so many people to the sim we were rated as numer three on the list of visitor stats. My first runway show!!

Oh so much have happened since I last blogged - truth is, I have been a very, very busy little girl! First of all, I'm now with Aspire! Modelling Agency and the lovely, talented and altogether adorable Bianca Darling as boss. I couldn't have dreamt of a better management! Their experienced model Aunnia Wilberg have been mentoring me and guess what - on December 2'nd I have my debut on the catwalk. It's a runway show for Adored fashions and Bianca told me I was the second model to be chosen for this event. So yes, things are looking up, folks! If I am excited?? Does a bear shit in the woods? Does birds fly?? Of course I am excited - an just a little nervous too. I'm practising my catwalk strut every day now and grooming myself for the event. People believe in me and I want to do them proud. And Aunnia's been such a sweetheart, taking me shopping and helping me become the model designers want. She's only too sweet for words.
I also think I might be in the newest edition of Aspire! Magazine this month, with some lovely photos taken by the talented Viordraken Thunders of Memorial Studios - so look out for me, ok.
Second - Dragon Heart Photography, which is run by two of my greatest friends - Sally Spark and Lestat Laperriere are looking for a vendor space and we might be up for one in Dark City. So we're keeping our fingers crossed for that one.

heck yea - it's true! Bianca Darling, the lovely boss over at Aspire! gave me my models tag today. Now I have to get my work inventory sorted so that I have all I need to start training - and I tell ye, it's quite a bit. Who said modelling isn't hard work? Was it me? lamo
I also explored a new shop today - Paper Couture - recommended to me by my new boss. It's just so swanky!

More rockabilly gurly stuff

I bought this dress in a two-pack at 800-Betties the other week. Yes I know it's not a new one and it's probably owned by half a dozen rockabilly chicks in SL - but who cares when it's a hot dress?
On another note - I noticed they have started doing a version of a classic pinup-do at Gurl 6 now - I first spotted the style at Kin Keiko's for little over two months ago. It looks like rockabilly is growing in SL? There's also a lot more painted ladies everywhere, sporting both tribals and old school tattoos. I got the note card that my friend Bellish Vallois does custom orders of his lovely ink now and I'm considering having somesthing done for my collar bone area and something for a friend - she wants something racy on her left thigh...Anyway here's some of Bellish lovely motives that you can choose from to have a more personalized style.

My Modelling Portfolio

OK, I've started working on my professional modelling portfolio now. It's just a sample here - anyone who wants to see more have to go to the slprofiles page - it's like My Space for SL, and a cool way to keep in touch and keep everybody updated on your work/life/exciting ventures/parties etc.
I've done a series of Bettie Page tribute photos and will also have some spooky shots taken in time for Halloween....And of course there's the burlesque showgirl shoot. MMM so much work, so little time...:)
The vintage looking corset and lingerie in the pic above is from 800-Betties which is a great retro shop in SL. I have also seen an Elvira Mistress of the Dark-costume that i'm contemplating getting. It's 600 lindens - not too bad, as it comes with hair as well as full outfit and dagger.
I have sooo many ideas for new shoots now I find it hard to rest. So keep commig back, I will make sure I publish some teasers for you here. Creating a look

I've had this bikini-top for ages, I don't remember where I got it - if you know the shop/artist please let me know and I'll give the designer his or her rightful due.

Anyways, I'm so fed up with bumping into people wearing the same outfit as me in SL it's actually stopped me from purchasing many great outfits - especially if the price is good, because I know the clubs will be swarming with girlies wearing the same - eeeeek! Yes, yes I know, it's very fashionista I know - but I cringe every time that happens. So for an early Halloween-party last weekend I teamed my bikini top with red thigh high f**ck-me boots, horns and this pair of fishnets and thong from another of my favourite shops in SL - Nymphetamine - for a more customized look.

I would love to design myself, simply for the fact I could design unique pieces. I hunt SL for designers who are willing to do so. I mean hey, I would pay BIG lindens for that!!! Whassup, don't you wanna get rich?? Unfortunately most people feel they do not have the time to do custome work, and what can you do but respect it :/ I understand their point, but it won't stop me trying to ask :)

In the meantime I'll enjoy Bellish Vallois of Bellish Ink and Pervy in the park-store's customizable tattoos. I've already got my orders ready to send. Watch out for a painted lady!

Nyla Cheeky Gown

Ok here's the gown with matching hat Nyla Cheeky gave me - I just had to post a photo of it as it's so exquisite. And the best of all - this girl can make these dresses for real! Anyways it turned out I had these matching thigh high boots in my bulging inventory, goes nicely with the skirt. The dress also comes with a full lenght big skirt and is the perfect party outfit for that burlesque event or club happening I love going to this time of year.let me know what you think, ok. And most of all - go to Nylas shop and spend some cash. It's all good!

Nyla Cheeky Corset

Hi, just discovered a person I know from RL in SL, the wonderful designer Nyla Cheeky. I have been ahuge fan of her gowns for ages and now in SL I can actually wear them!
So, lindens in hand I trotted along and bought this lovely corset adorned with playing cards and dices. Due to some minor glitch in the sim something went wrong with the purchase and Nyla called me back so we could sort it out. We hit it off in a big way, as it turned out we have sooo much in common - we're both avid fans of old school glamour, corsets, girdles, bullet bras and seamed ff stockings - and now we have soo many things we'd like to work on if only the day had enough hours.
And to top it off - not only is Nyla Cheeky a grrreat designer - she even gave me a beautiful gown as a present, she liked my looks and felt it's just right for her styles. What a compliment!! It's a yummy red gingham corset dress with big ballgown skirt and a matching hat. She also gave me a set of scrumptious opera gloves and now I'm hooked. I've already have my eyes on a greed gown in her shop and that's next on my shopping list :)
And do keep an eye out, because Nyla and I might venture out on some pretty hot ventures together...It's just some plans in the making but I'll let you all in on it soon as I have something more constructive to show. In the meantime - go take a look at Nylas shop - it's yummy yummy.

Well I'm so happy with this new hair I wear it almost all the time now...even though it's quite a way away from my own hair - Im a natural red head gone bottle blond in RL.
Today my sweet friend and designer Antoina Marat gave me a pair of awsome shoes - with leopard print pattern!! I just looove them...She's such an awsome designer, she gave me this cute Betty Boop alarm clock the other day just like that...Hopefully she'll make some logo t-thirts soon so I can advertize a bit as I walk around in world.
Tomorrow I'm catwalking for Neferia Abel, should be good. Hopefully I won't walk into things like I normally does :D. More of a poser than a catwalk model yet, but hey you gotta start somewhere, right?
Last night I went to a Chuck Berry celebration in town (RL), then I came home and had coctails with a good friend at this swanky jazz club here in SL and after I went to Darkcity so see if there was anybody hangin around in the club. The pace was unusually quiet so I did some shopping instead - now there's a surprise!

Sexy Leopard

Ok, I have to come clean and admit it: I love animal prints! Ok, that settled I have another confession to make as well: I love PINK animal prints!!
Give me zebra, cow, giraffe, tiger or leopard - I love them all. If that qualifies for the status as a desperate houswife or mutton dressed as lamb so be it. I don't really care how many Jackie Collins novels have leopard print covers or how many zebra print shirts you find in her sister Joans wardrobe, I will forever deck out my home and my body in these adorably sexy prints. Thats why I adore Dolce & Gabbana in RL and hope to find something similar in SL. Hopefulley soon I will...Anyone have any tips, don't hesitate to reply. I've got linndens to burn!!

Okies, this is me today after yet another maintenance break. I'm slowly building my new and more personalzied look in here, slowly moving away from the bimbo I was in the beginning.

Thanks to Bellish of Pervy in the Park and Celebrity Trollop I have found some good retro hair, Bettie Page style, which is brill with my new look. The fun thing is - I become more and more like the real me...Sacary lol

I bought these 50ties glasses at Artilleri -
Antonia Marat, /artilleri/ mainstore in gama!, Gama (190, 213, 40) - they are made by Antoinia Marat, one of my fave designers in here.
This weekend I start my own label in here, I've found a name, a location for my first shop and an idea. Now I have decided I will try and make some custome textures to give the clothes a more individual feel. I'm actually getting quite fed up meeting too many people with the same clothes in here, and I plan to make some of my clothing lines limited editions and custome pieces.

Sunday I'm catwalking for a friend of mine, Neferia Abel ~Neferia`s Designer Store~Slustleria 15, Slustleria (234, 170, 37) - I can't wait, her designs are fun and I love modelling.

Now - all I really need is more shoes - 50ties style. I habe bought some at Minx and Betties 1930 - 50, in the last shop I also found some cool suits secretary style. Thats my two personaes ready: rockabilly gurl - and - 1950ties secretary. lol Nothing like a contrast huh

Monday blues

Well I had all of today off from RL work and planned to get a lot of work done in SL and then the damned grid went down. I'm a bit pisses about that.
On a better note, I have come to grips with the basic knowledge of designing clothes and modyfying hairpieces. As I have a hard time finding anyone who cater spesifically for my taste in SL I have decided it's time to take this matter into my own hands and start working on it. My goal is to have a full portfolio of designs - say half a regular collection - by Christmas.

Having said that I have made some wonderful designing friends in here - Bellish Vallois of Pervy in the Park, Antonia of Artillery and Neferia who all design wonderful clothes.
